The Bachelor of Arts in Animation and Game Design is a three-year program that is designed to provide students with the fundamental skills and knowledge required for a career in the creative industries. This program combines theory and practice to equip students with the tools needed to develop their own unique creative voices and succeed in the highly competitive fields of animation and game design.

Over the course of the program, students will explore a range of topics, including 2D and 3D animation, game design theory, visual storytelling, sound design, and interactive design. Students will have the opportunity to work with industry-standard software and hardware, and learn how to use game engines and platforms to develop games for a variety of platforms.

The program is structured around a series of courses that build upon each other, allowing students to develop their skills and knowledge over time. Throughout the program, students will have the opportunity to work on a range of individual and group projects, culminating in a capstone project in animation and game design.

Upon graduation, students will have a comprehensive portfolio of work that showcases their abilities in animation and game design, and will be well-positioned to enter the creative industries as animators, game designers, concept artists, 3D modelers, and more. The program will also integrate relevant historical and cultural contexts of Nigerian animation and game design industries, to enable students to understand the African creative landscape and opportunities for innovation.

The game industry is one of the fastest-growing industries in the world, with revenues estimated to reach over $200 billion by 2023.
