The Bachelor of Arts in Advertising is a three-year undergraduate program designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in the dynamic and fast-paced world of advertising. Through a combination of theoretical and practical coursework, students will learn about the history, principles, and practices of advertising, as well as how to develop effective advertising campaigns for different media platforms.

The course will cover topics such as consumer behavior, branding and identity, visual communication, digital marketing, media planning and buying, and advertising ethics and law. In addition, students will have the opportunity to develop their creative and critical thinking skills, as well as their ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.

Throughout the course, students will be exposed to the latest trends and innovations in the advertising industry, both in Nigeria and globally. They will also have the opportunity to undertake internships or work placements, allowing them to gain practical experience and build professional networks.

Advertising agencies often work with a variety of clients across multiple industries, providing a dynamic and diverse work environment.

Entry requirements

We are delighted that you are considering one of our courses at ICCA. To ensure that you meet the entry requirements, kindly take note of the following:

  1. Candidates must possess a minimum of five credits at the O’level, including Mathematics and English, which are compulsory subjects.

  2. In addition to meeting the academic requirements, candidates will be required to attend an admission interview. The interview will provide an opportunity for our admissions team to assess your suitability for the program and determine your potential for success in your chosen field.

  3. Candidates with at least five years of industry experience in their chosen field, will qualify for automatic placement into the second year of their chosen program. Such candidates must display exceptional talent, skills, and a substantial portfolio. Our admissions team will consider your experience, talent, and skills alongside your portfolio during the admission process.

Note: The elective courses could be pulled from other disciplines such as, Digital Photography, Creative Entrepreneurship, Drama and Theatre Arts, Music Production or any other relevant course that the student may choose in consultation with their academic advisor.

Fees

€3,850 per academic academic year. 

Note: 70% of fees must be paid before commencement of intended program.
